17 III 2013 - Refillable bottles are back in Paris!

The Paris administration decided to study the possible obligation for bottles to be returnable (including a deposit). This could apply to all glass and plastic bottles. Active before the 80's, this system was abandoned for disposable bottles excepted for restaurants, hotels,...

The Paris idea is simply to copy the Germany or Alsace systems for private consumption and reduce the today public recycle cost of glass and plastics bottles.

This could be a big challenge for the retail business as to collect bottles means extra space, bottle management... all aspects that HOD business is facing daily so a great business opportunity in fact!
